Crimea 43 is a fictional campaign, taking place at the Crimea
peninsula at spring 1943. The story begins as the German army
takes over the western side of Crimea. The Russian forces will
try to take back the land, while the German army will move east
towards Simpheropol and try to take control over the whole peninsula.
The campaign contains 67 missions in this version, and is under
constant development. Wars are not a short and easy experience,
especially when two great armies are fighting each other. Therfore,
don't expect any sharp and definite victory or lose. The war will
continue, to evolve as long as I have the time and will to expand
it. |

Set
in the Crimea 1942, A Multiplayer Coop mission already played
Online. A possible Scenario that could have taken place. Werhmacht
Airbourne Units in Gliders, supported by 109s, attempt to capture
the VVS Air Base at the beseiged City of Sevastopol. When you
run the Mission you will see that each of the opposing sides has
a chance to Win, depending on the Tactics they use. After studying
the Il-2 Game and features I created the Mission so that if the
Luftwaffe meets its objectives, the Air base does in fact change
hands, and flak becomes hostile to VVS Aircraft. |

mission portrays a check ride between Soviet airfields on the
Kuban front, sometime during the middle of the Great Patriotic
War. While not strictly historical, the scenario does afford players
an opportunity to practice takeoffs, landings, and cross-country
navigation. Your La-5FN's crew chief will brief you before takeoff.
Should be a piece of cake. Just keep your eyes open -- after all,
there's still a war going on. |

This
is a historical mission closely based on events during early July
1943 when the Germans launched 'Operation Zittadelle',an attempt
to capture the city of Kursk by attacking Soviet forces in the
large westward bulge in the line around Kursk. Unfortunately for
the Germans, the Russians had learned of the plan, and while Hitler
procrastinated over the commencement date,they had been able to
build up their ground forces within the salient massively.Even
so, the Germans made strong initial gains before the climax was
reached in a massive tank battle near Prokhorovka. Whilst the
ground forces slogged it out, air battles raged overhead. This
mission represesents just one incident of many on day one, July
5th 1943. You lead a flight of four Fw190 A-4

intelligence indicates that the Russians have located the production
of munitions at a well defended position at the head of two rivers
north of Yalta, 25 km SE of Bachchisaray. Both high and low reconnaissance
have been flown, indicating that the most successful ingress route
is from the south. The factory lies at the head of two rivers,
and is sheltered on both sides by the valley walls. The factory
is well defended by both 85mm and 20mm anti-aircraft emplacements,
and both the ingress and egress routes from the valley are defended.
However, a low ingress from the south stands an excellent chance
of success. STAY LOW once you enter the river valley |

About
an hour ago a Russian destroyer was torpedoed and sunk by a German
U-Boat. One of the destroyer's escort ships saw the sub and returned
fire. The sub was apparently damaged and unable to submerge. A
maritime patrol aircraft has spotted the damaged U-Boat passing
through the nearby channel. You are to destroy the sub before
it is able to make it out of the channel and into the vast ocean.

This
is a mission based on actual events on 5 July 1941 when 430ShAP
flew their first mission. At dawn, a formation of 9 IL-2 (1 series)
from 430 ShAP was dispatched to attack the German 17th Panzer
Division west of Orsha. No Sturmovik was lost in the battle and
their attack effectively delayed the German tanks from attacking
Orsha for an additional 24 hours |

in the zip folder are two training missions designed to allow
Bf-109 pilots to become more familiar with German ace Eric Hartmanns
tactics for dogfighting. The mission objectives are to intercept
a flight of IL-2 (field mod.) Sturmoviks with fighter escort and
shoot them down. Hartmann's tactics of See-Decide-Attack-'Coffee
break' earned him the distinction of having more kills (352) than
any other pilot of WWII. The briefing gives you some details of
Hartmann\'s tactics and yields information on how to shoot down
the Sturmovik, also known as the "cement bomber". I
recommend playing the beginner mission until you can easily shoot
down Sturmoviks and stay alive. The advanced mission is extremely
challenging |

General
Sergei Federov, CO of the 171st Red Guards Division and a personal
friend of Comerade Stalin has been forced down behind enemy lines
after the pilot of his personal aircraft became disoriented in
the fog and it was damaged by enemy AAA. General Federov-in all
his infinite wisdom insisted on viewing our lines from the air
personally and was in the area conducting a recon of our forward
postions when his aircraft went down. The general reports that
he has suffered a broken back during the forced landing and is
unable to escape to safety. Two of the Pe-2\'s gunners were killed
by enemy fire and the pilot has fled. The fascist AAA units who
downed the general\'s aircraft have undoubtedly notified local
infantry and armor units. In all liklihood, the general\'s radio
transmissions have been intercepted by enemy forces and they have
ascertained the location of his aircraft as well as the value
of its cargo. They will be heading to the site at great speed
and strength in order to capture General Federov and the valuable
intelligence information onboard his aircraft |
