Fan
Site and Squadron Submission Guidelines
How can you get linked? Ubisoft
wants to give our customers the best links and windows into the
vibrant and dedicated communities that make our products the best
in the business. We understand that one of the reasons a game can
continue to grow and develop after its release is based in a large
part on the fans who support and cultivate its success, and further
its enjoyment.
Standards
and Requirements
1.
Prospective fan site must have a permanent site with a registered
domain name. This also means that fan sites who use their personal
web addresses through ISPs, Geocities, Tripod, etc, will not be
listed. *Note: This does not apply to squadron sites.
2. The fan site must look professional, be proficient in its use
of html in the code, and have an effective presentation.
3. No banners or links to inappropriate material or other advertising.
This includes but is not limited to: pornography, hate speech,
warez, or any unlawful or insensitive material, images, marketing,
or content. *Note: this includes a heavy or frequent use of the Nazi Swastika.
4. No excessive profanity.
5. Must show a strong motivation and interest for the improvement
and success of the community and the game.
6. Must provide regular and consistent news and community coverage
of the game, usually at least bi-monthly updates. Updates and content
must also reflect an in-depth and accurate knowledge of the game
and its community. *Note: Squadron sites are exempt from this rule.
7. No links or support for multiplayer cheats, or any other third
party hacks or programs not sanctioned by Ubisoft can appear
on the site. We expect every fan site to support fair and equal
competition amongst the community, and to shun all programs which
could negatively affect the game's integrity.
8.
We also request that fansites listed on our site, also link back
to us with the designation of being the Official Pacific Fighters web site. *Note: Squadrons who are likewise listed should also link back to the site, since they are now officially recognized squadrons.
Each fan site submitted will
be reviewed for initial compliance. Once a site has been linked
to, there will be random spot checks to ensure future compliance.
Linked sites will be added to our community "news update"
blast list, and will be notified of site updates, upcoming
promotions/events, contests, and revisions to the link guidelines.
